Programme Synopsis:
Today’s business environment requires companies to be nimble and responsive, and be able to make adjustments to strategy in real-time. Traditional strategy design approaches are no longer able to cope with the rapidly changing environment. Since each competitor in a given competitive ecosystem is likely to use the same tools, their strategies end up being remarkably similar and undifferentiated.
Equally, these approaches tend to “boil the ocean” consuming a tremendous amount of time and resources for marginal benefit. Finally, the majority of strategies result in strategic plans that end up in the bottom drawer, with limited execution upside. If this sounds like your organization, this training program will have a major impact on how you think about your strategy design process.
This training program will take you through the steps of creating an effective strategy process that delivers innovative executable plans. The focus will be a new, practical, and dynamic strategy design framework that greatly differs from the traditional academic approach.
This program will explore the following four key principles that form the foundation of a dynamic strategy design process:
- Process must be dynamic and flexible
- Process should be inductive, not deductive
- Strategy should be designed for execution
- Customers first, capabilities second, should drive your strategy
The strategy process itself should encourage companies to innovate their value propositions and develop new sources of value.
